About Us
We cater for a wide range of playing levels - from those with some racket sport experience just getting into the game, through to league players and even a few county and veteran players. If you’re completely new to the game we advise having a few lessons to get the basics before coming along. We offer adult coaching sessions at various times throughout the year. Get in touch if you are interested to find out when our next sessions are running.
We have various teams in the local Southampton and Winchester leagues and use feather shuttles.
Our Wednesday night club-night runs all year (except Christmas week) 8:00pm – 10:00pm.
The first club night is free, so if you’re interested, please get in touch with us to arrange coming along!
We are an adult club but are happy to take mature juniors and have an appointed child protection officer.
We also offer a social side with meals out, fun tournaments etc.
We have 3 qualified coaches on hand to offer friendly advice or provide more structured coaching / training if desired.

Fees
We offer two levels of membership which differ in their annual fee, club-night fee and team eligibility:
All inclusive
The all inclusive option offers the benefits of Pay and Play Membership along with making the member eligible for full team selection and has no club-night fee.

A small annual fee covers the member for insurance and allows them to be eligible to play as team reserve. This is coupled with a small club-night fee.

*Full-time student, senior citizen, or second and subsequent members from a household.
+12-18 year-old (MatchPoint Badminton Club takes no responsibility for supervision).
Badminton England Competition membership is available for an additional £15.
The first Club Night is Free for new members.
New members can only play 6 times before needing to register with MatchPoint.
Yearly membership fees can be paid in two halves: the first by the end of September, the second by the end of December. Due to high cash flow requirements for the club at the start of the season, this option will carry a £10 surcharge.
Additionally, a late payment surcharge of £10 will be levied to any outstanding fees from 1st January.
To be considered for full team selection members must join at gold level and must pay the first £30 of the membership fee with the team selection form.
If membership numbers reach capacity, we will implement a waiting list; however, we look forward to welcoming you as soon as a place becomes available.
